Ford researchers have created a ‘driver workload estimator’ help reduce driver distraction by filtering infotainment and communication distractions. Researchers at Ford are working on a system that would use information submitted by the vehicle and the driver's body to prioritize what information can be displayed and at what time. Dodge is adding an SE V6 trim to the 2012 Avenger lineup. The new package will include Chrysler's Pentastar 3.6-liter V6 and new exterior brightwork. The car will slot in between the SE four-cylinder model and the SXT Plus, which also has the V6.
